A military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network that the projectile struck Quwwah base in the region, South of the capital Riyadh, on Saturday afternoon, as there were no immediate reports of casualties or the extent of damage caused.
A Saudi military Spokesman later claimed that air defense forces had intercepted the missile.
A UN panel has compiled a detailed report of civilian casualties caused by the Saudi military and its allies during their war against Yemen, saying the Riyadh-led coalition has used precision-guided munitions in its raids on civilian targets
The United Nations also said in mid-January, more than three-quarters of Yemenis are now in need of humanitarian aid as the brutal aggression launched by the Saudi-led coalition nears its fourth year.
